I am twelve years old and went through the confirmation process in 2003 culminating with me becoming a member of the Cicero United Methodist Church (CUMC). I am a member of CUMC for several reasons.
One of the most obvious reasons are the people. Everyone is always nice. They make me feel welcome and more willing to praise and learn about god. Another reason is how the church performs the ritual of communion. I like the way anyone can take communion, even if you are not a member, and the idea that you do not have to tell anyone but god about your sins and still be forgiven. Overall, I am a member of the CUMC because of its friendly atmosphere and everyones willingness to worship and learn about god, and their enthusiasm to get me to do these things as well. |
