January 2011
This month’s spotlight is on Julie Krupke, a singer in the God’s Country Rambler’s (GCR) Band.
GCR: How long have you been involved with the GCR service?
Julie: I’ve been involved with the GCR service from the beginning. My first role was to run the sound system. When another singer had to miss a service my husband convinced me to fill in and I’ve been hooked ever since.
GCR: What’s your favorite type of music?
Julie: I like most types but Country and Big Band are my favorite. I also like the 70’s music which I learned to love from my older brothers.
GCR: What is your favorite song that you’ve sung in the God’s Country Service?
Julie: That’s easy Boondocks by Little Big Town, I’m a big fan of their music.
GCR: I always like to ask this question so here goes - what would you tell a person about the God’s Country Service if they have not yet had a chance to attend?
Julie: If you like country music give it a try, it’s not like any other service. And be sure to bring a friend when you come back!
GCR: Besides singing with the Gods Country Ramblers what else do you do for fun?
Julie: I like sailing, ballroom dancing (hence the Big Band Music) and spending time with my family.
