The time of our upcoming Mission trip is quickly approaching.    From 26 June -  3 July, 16 individuals from our church will be making the trip to Sabine Pass in Texas.
While there everyone will be working hard to help this areas victims recover from the devastating effects of Hurricane Rita.  During this trip not only will the team be doing repairs and new construction but they will be conducting Vacation Bible School.  Some of you may remember the trip a Mission Team from CUMC made 2 1/2 years ago.  During that time connections were made that have remained strong.  Since our initial contact with Sabine in Feb 06, our church has sent mission teams on 2 other occasions.   In the 2 1/2 years since our first Missions trip there have been other Mission Teams from various organizations working in that area.  But  as time goes by there are fewer teams sent to the area, while much work remains to be done.  Many of you have already made donations through our church or other organizations.  Your  continued generosity is greatly appreciated and always  welcomed

Please remember the Mission Team in your prayers.  The work will be physically arduous, living conditions will be  fairly  basic, and the hours will be long.  However, they will be doing God's work and while they are working, spirits will be lifted, hope renewed and all will be blest by the experiences and friendships that are made during this week. The time of our upcoming Mission trip is quickly approaching.   From 26 June -  3 July, 16 individuals from our church will be making the trip to Sabine Pass in Texas.
