The Cicero United Methodist Men are seeking men to become involved in our men's ministry.

We invite men to join us and be part of our fellowship, not because:

• We cook the most tasty chicken at our monthly summer Chicken BBQ's
• We hold small group Bible studies that spiritually speak to men on their Christian walk.
• We have an incredible lawn sale with many great treasures.
• We attend Methodist night at the ballpark.
• We construct handicap ramps as part of our mission program.
• We have guest spiritual and missionary leaders share their stories at our monthly meetings.

The most significant reason we desire to promote the fellowship of men is:

We want to exist to declare the centrality of Christ in every man's life. Men's ministry leads to the spiritual growth of men and effective discipleship. This purpose is served as men are called to model the servant leadership of Jesus Christ.

Living, praying and fellowshipping together WE can:

• Enhance Evangelism, Mission and Spiritual Life, as men become servant leaders.
• Advocate programs that train men within local churches to promote specific ministries including prayer, missions, stewardship and Civic/Youth Serving Ministries. 
• Forge pastoral partnerships by men committed to the effective support and service of clergy and local congregations.
• Assist men in their ever-changing relationships, roles and responsibilities in their family setting, workplace and society.
• Understand the organization, doctrines and beliefs of the United Methodist Church.
• Fulfill the membership vows through commitment to prayer, presence, gifts and service in congregational life. 
• Furnish resources that assist men in their growing relation with our Lord Jesus Christ and his church.
• Maintain effective communication and cooperation with United Methodist Men worldwide.

If you want to know and understand what United Methodist Men are about in a couple short memorable sentences, think of us this way:

United Methodist Men shall be a creative, supportive fellowship of men who seek to know Jesus Christ, to grow spiritually and to seek daily HIS WILL. Our primary purpose is to declare the centrality of Christ in the lives of men and in all their relations. "Men Caring for Men"

It's what we do for Christ in the here and now that will make a difference in the then and there.
