Serendipity:  The ability to make fortunate discoveries by accident ....

such as finding interesting items of information or unexpected proof of one's theories while looking for something else.  This group meets once a month at a time that is mutually agreed upon.  The group is usually made up of 10-12 adults, both couples and singles.  The host chooses the topic of discussion and lead the discussion froma Christian point of view.  The topic may come from current news events, a magazine, a current movie, a book, the Internet or whatever.  One person is in charge of the dessert.  We usually start with a prayer, go into the topic, often getting into other topics and then finish with dessert.  Meetings generally run about an hour and 1/2 to two hours.  At the end of the evening one person volunteers to host the next meeting and the previous host will provide the dessert at the next meeting.

What have we discovered in our meetings?  We have discovered that although some of us were strangers to each other, that we have become deeper friends in Christ.  We have shared what I would guess some of the early Christians shared meeting in each other's homes.  We have discovered a deep respect for each other and have developed a group of caring friends.
